Specialty Steel Products, Inc. has been in business since 1951. Specialty Steel Products has become part of the Gulf Group conglomerate of independent companies that form a synergistic blend around a series of core activities dealing primarily with the sale and/or servicing and transportation of coal, limestone, scrap metal, and other commodities. Each of these companies was formed over a period of more than 20 years. The Gulf Group began in 1988 with its first company, General Trade Corporation, which remains to this day a thriving, evolving business. Since the inception of General Trade Corporation, additional companies have been formed including Gulf Materials, Gulf Trading & Transport, and Specialty Steel Products .We purchase retail scrap from the surrounding; area 6 days per week. We also purchase and broker scrap from industrial and demolition sites from all over the United States. We are located along the Monogahela River, MP 10.2, in Braddock PA, which is just east of Pittsburgh. The spacious 24 acre facility houses our scrap materials as well as a complete storage area.
