Hieber's Pharmacy was established over 100 years ago with the mission of providing the many nearby hospitals custom-made medications for special needs. That tradition continues today under the direction of Joe Bettinger and his skilled, knowledgeable and courteous staff. At Hieber's, state of the art equipment and continuous training ensure high quality preparations to meet your unique medical needs. For instance, Hieber's can provide you with creams and capsules that contain your prescribed active ingredient but omit other ingredients that you may be allergic or sensitive to, such as preservatives or lactose.A pharmacist since 1976, Joe Bettinger, R.PH has always been compounding. Whether it was making suspensions of topical lotions or creams, Joe enjoyed that aspect of pharmacy. When he joined PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America) and IACP (International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists) his interest in compounding really took off. With additional training in the specific disciplines of compounding, Joe has become proficient in all facets of pharmacy compounding. These include making capsules (regular or sustained release), tablets (that dissolve under the tongue form immediate action), creams, lotions, oral suspensions (virtually any flavor) and sterile eye drops, sterile injections, and suppositories as well as various veterinary medications for any animal in the home or in the zoo.
