This place is the height of incompetence. They have you sign an agreement stating you'll pay back the employer who hires you if you quit unless you notify your J. Croyle rep that you wish to find employment elsewhere. Fine, fair enough. Here's where it gets shady, they won't do a damn thing if you tell them you hate the place within 2 weeks, and then if you quit outside of two weeks, they adjust your payrate for your final check to minimum wage and threaten you with a bill for $2,457.84.

On top of this, they took over TWO MONTHS just to correctly set up my direct deposit so I went without a paycheck for almost 3 weeks for most of my time with this company while I waited for them to snail mail me my paychecks.

Avoid this place like the plague. No matter how desperate you are, applying with this company will be the worst mistake you've ever made in your working life.

So I can't speak for everyone else but I had a great experience! After doing my application and taking test I did have to call and check in. That's with any employment opportunity u have to be diligent. My recruiter worked extremely hard to find me a position and it did not take long at all! She was constantly communicating with me she was friendly and wanted to see me get hired. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

I question the legality of their tactics.

In strides J Croyal is still in business. During the interview, I was asked completely inappropriate questions such as:Would I marry my (then) boyfriend? What is my relationship like with my parents?

The positions they offered didn't meet my criteria (at all) but I was made to feel unreasonable for declining such offers. I went to a bigger agency and found a job almost immediately.

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. I WENT TO AN INTERVIEW WITH THEM TODAY AND IT WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. FIRST THEY GIVE ME THIS KEYBOARD TEST TO MEASURE THE KEYWORDS OF MINUTE. AFTER THAT THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY DON'T HAVE ANY JOB OFFERINGS AT THIS TIME AND THEY GAVE ME THIS CARD WITH A NUMBER TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY JOB OFFERINGS!!! PLEASE DO NOT EVER APPLY THERE IT'S WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY!!!

When registering with J. Croyle we ask that you complete an application card and typing test. We also conduct an extensive interview lasting 30+ minutes to ensure we are providing you services to the best of our ability. This ensures you that you are in a position where you have the skill and ability to excel. We reviewed your file. Based on your typing speed of 14 WPM we would contact you for any position that did not require any Administrative skills. Of course, suggestions were made to help increase your typing speed. We would not be doing our job if we didn’t make suggestions to help you. This could only benefit you!

Dont go to them.. I just graduated college and moved to the city. They seemed really nice at first but I guess thats how they lure you in. I got this temp job that was only one month long. I told the lady i would not take a job that is anything lower than 12 an hour. She sent me a job interview never told me the pay. I got the job then told me it was only 9 an hour. Once I told her I couldnt afford to do that she told me to borrow money from my parents. I took the job because seriously she said she will not help me out finding a job closer to the pay i want. So I was working at this place for over a month and I found another job. I couldnt give a tow weeks notice at all. I guess they make you sign a contract saying that if you quit your job without notice your pay for the last paycheck will be at min wage. I mean what a rip off. The job was only for a month I worked my month that is what I signed to work.

Seriously this place will ripp you off. I was wondering how this temp place could afford to be in the US steel building now I know. Do not trust them, they will not listen to anything you have to say.

These are money hungry people.

Lying Headhunters! They will s...

Lying Headhunters! They will say anything to get you to come in for an interview. My husband was told the job was entry level assistant marketing work for J.Crew! The salary range he was quoted (50-60k) over the phone seemed reasonable; since his master's in in an unrelated arts, he was willing to come in and talk about the opportunity. He gets there to find out that the company is called J.Croyle, not JCrew (I call intentional mispronunciation) and the job was outbound collections calling! They offered him 2 jobs both @ hourly rates for 10 or 12 an hour. No where near what he was told over the phone!

These headhunters must be trying to meet goals regarding how many people they can get in for an interview, because they will lie through their teeth just to get you in there. They don't even validate parking! I doubt anyone who needs to see this will actually see it since they call themselves JCrew, but I thought I'd put out a warning to any companies thinking of hiring them for staffing. They are so desperate they are going after people who hold master degrees and offering them $10/ hourly. Terrible. Shame on you J.Croyle!
