Established in 1969, Mercy Behavioral Health is a health clinic providing community-based mental health, retardation, and drug and alcohol treatment services to the people of greater Pittsburgh. It offers various programs for children, adolescents, families and adults suffering from bipolar disorders, depression, schizophrenia, personality disorders, anxiety and addiction. It also offers anger management and counseling for persons facing school difficulties, grief, death and divorce-related problems. It additionally offers the Allegheny Crisis Emergency Services program and provides licensed telephonic and mobile behavioral health crisis intervention services. Additionally, it provides board-certified physicians and forensic, child and adult psychiatrists. Its outpatient programs include crisis intervention, medication, individual and group therapy, dual recovery, psychiatric rehabilitation and vocational training. It also provides various programs for children and adolescents, such as play and school-based therapy and support services. Located in Pittsburgh, it also offers various residential care services. It is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and Pennsylvania Department of Health and is approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
