The North Allegheny School District operates more than 10 elementary, middle, intermediate high and senior high schools. It enrolls more than 8,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school district offers over 15 advance-placement courses. Its academic curriculum includes arts, mathematics, business education, family and consumer science, world languages, music, reading, science, social studies and technology education. The school district provides opportunities for its students to participate in a variety of athletic activities, such as football, soccer, volleyball, golf, cross country, tennis and basketball. It has also received a Keystone Achievement Award from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The school district is located in Pittsburgh.
