The Rogers School of Driving was licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in 1969. Since that time the school has been providing both the certified theory and behind-the-wheel portions of the approved driver education program for the greater Pittsburgh area. Once both phases of the driver education program are finished, students receive a certificate that qualifies them for possible driver education insurance discounts (Please check with your individual insurance company) and full driving privileges at age 17 1/2. However, the main mission of the school has been to train competent and safe drivers. Over the years the school has taught thousands of teenage and adult students defensive driver techniques. It has provided the state-approved driver education program to dozens of public and private schools. It has also provided driver evaluation and improvement programs to various corporations and nonprofit organizations.

I found Rodgers driving school online. My instructor was Chris. I highly recommend him. He was very patient, calm, professional, and funny. I was a very anxious and nervous driver at first, and Chris changed that right away. I would like to thank Chris and Rodger's Driving school again. Thanks, Jackie

I am an instructor with Rogers Driving School in Pittsburgh. I can attest to the fact that some of these reviews are now dated and do not reflect the quality of the training you will receive at our school today.

I train my students to be safe and responsible drivers through progressively challenging sessions in residential areas, downtown, and on major highways such as I-376,28 and 279. I must warn you... We do not prepare students for just the test. We give them the tools and knowledge, based on our real life experience and training, to practice safe driving habits for life.

I like taking my students in areas that parents do not wish such as lane changing on the Fort Pitt Bridge, navigating the windy Streets Run Road, a merging into rush hour traffic I-376 at the Squirrel Hill Tunnel.

Try a lesson with us and I guarantee you will see a noticeable improvement. Thanks for reading!

Folks, This is a pathetic driving school and my advise is to find some other and NOT go with this one. I'm very disappointed by the unprofessional behavior of the owner Tim. Here's my story...

I have >15 yrs of driving experience (India) and am pretty good at it. I have recently moved to the US and wanted to get a state drivers license. After getting my learners permit, I wanted to take a couple of professional driving lessons so that I can get accustomed to the little details of driving in the US and also get some useful tips. This is when I approached Rogers Driving School. I took two driving classes and they went well, perhaps because they weren't teaching me how to drive. The instructor never told me to use indicators while parallel parking or getting out of one. As a result, I didn't switch on the indicators during the test and the examiner failed.

My test center was Kittanning and I had also scheduled a 3hr driving window with the same school for $172, but after driving half way down to the center...the instructor (apparently the most experienced one...Bob) refused to take me there because it was too far. Apparently, Tim (the owner) had informed him that the test center was New Kensington. Luckily, I had a few colleagues who jumped in to save my day and took me to the test center and eventually I failed.

Whats worse is...the next day I called Tim (the owner) to speak about what happened and he responded in a very unprofessional manner. He refused to the fact that the instructor never told me about using the indicators (well, purely based on assumption) and also the fact that he was supposed to take me to Kittanning and not New Kensington. He hung up the phone on me even before I could convey my concerns.

PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH THIS SCHOOL. THEY ARE TOTALLY USELESS AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.!!
