I am Indian, I am Basically from Mumbai ,india and I regularly have Indian food outside. I've been to other Indian restaurants in the area and had a decent experience ,I wanted the best Indian food for my Birthday because my Friends are from India and we picked in this Indian Restaurant in down town because we have tried many Indian restaurants and we found this restaurant to be the best amongst the lot. The on site tandoor with exceptional decoration. When we went to the restaurant to settle the bill we were asked to share our experience with others and I thought of writting on the net. I can not thank anymore when I told the owners to give special attantion because I want my all friends to be impressed and they were really impressed and I am glad we picked this indian restaurant to cater the birthday.The customer service was great and Offcourse India is Great Than That of Other Countries.I am very proud to be an Indian.REGARDS - Ashish Pandey ( Mumbai, India )

My date and I ate here on 4/14/09, in the evening, it was, coincidentally, 1/2 price Tuesdays. The portions were large(some restaurants would try to take advantage of this!, not here) even though the all of the food was 1/2 off. The food was very authentic, and the service was excellent! Any questions about the food were happily answered by the very attentive staff. Food was out quick, and I never once had to ask for a refill of my drink, this staff was on the ball! It is a shame, the other reviewer had a problem with using a coupon, I would say try again, a very big misunderstanding. This is still a newer restaurant,2 years open, I believe?, and they try very hard to be accommodating. We there about 730pm,and they were starting to really jam, the owner, not only checking on our food and our experience there, was right there with his staff helping out. Clean, excellent service, authentic Indian food with very fair prices, make this a regular restaurant for me to visit! I can't wait to try the buffet every Thursday and Sunday, I believe. The owner explained that the buffet has different items every week!

Tandoor has great, authentic indian food. You can order a large variety of food with little or no spice to very spicy depending on your taste. Great atmosphere. A very nice place! I would definitely recommend Tandoor.

When Tandoor first opened, my boyfriend and I went for dinner. It was decent food, and since it's a quite environment and good prices, we decided we'd make it our new indian place (over the ever popular India Garden). Recently, we received coupon in clipper for buy one entree get one free. Since we have a newborn at home, these types of money saving deals are perfect for us. So with cash in hand, I ran some errands and while I was out, my boyfriend called to order the food. The person who answered advised him that they only accept these coupons for dine in. I checked the coupon and it did not say anything of the sort. I called back and told them this and they still refused to honor the coupon for pick up. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that dine in customer's are hearing "we only accept that for pick up orders."



Anytime I"ve been inside Tandoor, it's empty. I'm guessing that business isn't good. But to print a coupon and refuse to honor it is BAD BUSINESS, regardless of the situation. If they didn't want to honor it for pick up, they should print that on the coupon. We're giving out business back to India Garden. My advice is, stick with a restaurant who values their customer. There are plenty of good Indian food restaurants in this city already.
