We at BEAH would like to respond to the review posted by Guest41909 on 11/11/2011. Appointment days, Wednesdays and Saturdays, are reserved for clients that do not wish to wait during walk-in hours. Recommendations to the owner were ER if the pet was sick or walk-in the following day. Regarding the locked door, we were advised by police to lock the front doors after daylight hours due to suspicious activities in the area. So...the assumption of "NO ONE GETS IN" is inaccurate. Dr Ruiz takes time to explain things.and understands these pets are like our children, almost like a trusted pediatrician. The Technician Chelsea, is extremely capable in handling of my "child." Chelsea, like Dr Ruiz, convey a sense of confidence and comfort to me. My problem: Big Easy Open for 3-4 hours WED, SAT "appointments only" My pet made the mistake of getting sick on one of the appointment only days. Even though Big Easy office was open when I called, Mayra, the receptionist told me "her rooms were full" and these people had "appointments" and there was nothing she could do; Mayra told me to go to the expensive Emergency Clinic, even though my pet was not critical, just needed some doctoring. It was a stone cold brick wall. I was offered no other help. And, Mayra proudly tells me she shuts the doors 1/2 hour before closing, which means NO ONE GETS IN. Mayra was very stressed and combatant and defensive with me-not something a concerned pet owner needs.

Best vet my family has ever had to drag our dog to. They are outrageously friendly and understanding. Prices are moderate. Will never go anywhere else after our experience there today.

Best animal hospital I've ever been to. WONDERFUL! We've been for spay/neuter event and for a skin condition and I was quite pleased. This evening I'm forever grateful Dr. Ruiz and company have come to Lawrenceville. Our oldest cat went missing and came limping home with a broken foot. I called TBEAH nearing the end of their office hours but they never hesitated in telling us to come down. The entire staff was pleasant, professional and treated our cat wonderfully.

Dr. Ruiz and her team members are awesome. It's wonderful to have such a great vet only blocks from my house that's reasonably priced and so caring. Dr. Ruiz even took the time to call after hours and see how my cat was doing at the emergency room. Highly recommended.

i am new to town and walked by here one afternoon. took my little dog in for a health certificate, for flying, and this place was awesome. i came from a city that is dog crazy and still never met a vet as awesome as dr. ruiz. i would highly recommend them to any and every pet owner. she, and her vet techs, actually took the time to talk with me and tell me in detail everything i needed or wanted to know. i will most definitely return and am grateful to have found a vet already for my lil chug.

Dr. Eileen Ruiz and her staff are fantastic! They show so much caring for the animals in addition to the great skill that they have with them. Most days have walk-in hours till 7 pm, which is great for those of us who work during the day. Her prices are very reasonable as well. I am so incredibly grateful to have found her practice, and give her the highest recommendation! She has taken great care of my dog, a beagle/dachshund mix, and my son's, a rottweilller. She is extremely gentle with them, and the animals love her and her tech assistants. .J. Nedin, Squirrel Hill
