Provided by YP.comHello, I purchased an ATV on October 12, 2009 from Bob Tracy's Cycles paid for in full at time of purchase. After waiting over 4 months without recieving a title, I contacted the DCNR to find out the status. They told me that the rules had changed reguarding tax, in that after October 8th 2009, you are now required to pay tax based on where you purchase a vehicle and not where you reside (6% Beaver County, 7% Allegheny County). They advised me that the paperwork had been "kicked back" to the dealer. I now have recieved another bill from the dealership requesting more money (I guess there are many others like me in the same boat). The DCNR states there turn around time on title work is aprox 2 weeks. The dealer refuses to simply absorb this fee and make it right in good faith. As far as I am concerned, my vehicle was paid in full at time of purchase, and the price was the determining factor in which I purchased this vehicle at this location. The dealer has denied ever recieving notification of the new tax policy. How does a new tax simply fall into place without anyone (especially the dealers) knowing about it? I expected the sales manager to be knowledgeabe enough to fill out the paperwork properly, his incopetence has now become my problem. These people apparently can do what ever they want as they are indepently owned and operated (according to Kawasaki corporate). Beware!
