Pittsfield Vet helped gather and donate over 800 pounds of dog food to the Dream Center in Pittsfield.

I would not recommend Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital or Shaker Hill Pet Resort in Pittsfield, MA based on my firsthand experience. There are two issues of concern.
First off, the estimates for animal care do not match the final billed amount. No further explanation is needed; the estimate for service should match the final bill.
Secondly (and of much greater concern), this practice appeared to employ a very deliberate and systematic technique where they over treat the animal. And while over treating your animal may sound desirable, this has an effect of churning up the costs of the bill for services rendered.
In every (billable or otherwise) instance, the Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital performed the most expensive billable procedure, dispensed the most expensive drugs, and employ or followed the most financially demanding protocol in treating my animal.
The end result is that Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital sets new highs in costs for providing care for your animal.

Avoid Dr. Lisa Johnson. She was careless and heartless and my dog suffered because of this. I know there are bad outcomes with pets that happen, but this was due to her poor care and arrogant nature.
