I've lived in Pittsfield for 14 years and I can say that Poponover's is exactly the place we needed. Their weekend staff are just very bright and cheerful, while the weekday staff is warm and inviting- great crew. I strongly recommend the coffee by design (which is local to Maine), the chicken, cranberry, tarragon sandwich, and the pastries. However, all the options sure do look great. The parking is abundant and free! The only complaint I have is variety in soups- but I'm sure as they get going, that will change. Poponover's is Pittsfield warmth and Pittsfield prices (very affordable). If you are ever in Central Maine, swing on by to this little mom and pop place!
