The Independent continues to fulfill our expectations of a five star restaurant. The sauteed mushrooms and salmon with creme fraiche started the meal off well paired with signature cocktails. We decided to box some of the appetizers so we didn't stuff ourselves and the waitress suggested putting some of the mushrooms with our steaks - what a delicious combination. The filet mignons were perfect as were the sides. Followed by the bread pudding with icecream. We had to go boxes from every course, and accompanied by a Stag's Leap Cabernet the entire meal was perfect. We appreciated that when we weren't sure of the wine the waitress brought us a sample of a different wine we were thinking of which we decided wasn't quite right.

Really great food with great service. The buttermilk fried chicken is amazing! I absolutely love the decor, especially the bar and restrooms are nice and clean.

Worth a late evening outing to have dessert by the fire pit outside. Lovely ambiance and the caramel apple cheesecake was delicious.

Good service and good atmosphere, but quality of the food is uneven. Creme brulee was fabulous, but crab cakes were just so-so and the hamburger was overcooked and tasted strange.
