I have been using A-1 oil for years and this year my furnace died and I was lucky my house didn't burn down with my pets inside. The furnace was charred all up the side and I wasn't even home. I came home to a house full of smoke. The next morning I called A-1 and as busy as they were by that very evening I had a new furnace AND heat. They have to prioritize their customers and I would gladly give up my maintenance appointment for a family with no heat. Thank you A-1 ....YOU ROCK!

A-1 as usual gives awesome service at great rates.Called Gary and one hour later I had heat and was overjoyed at the fact he and his wonderful wife are Earnhardt fans..Thanks again A-1. Mike MacCracken

I have to agree with the customer who said A-1 oil is the company you should call if you don't mind repeatedly calling your burner man to come out and get your furnace running right. I had my furnace cleaned during the summer by A-1 oil. At the beginning of the season when I started my furnace it had an awful rumble when it started. I called A-1 and had them come to my house to check the furnace. I was told by Gary that it was just and air pocket. Well my air pocket got a lot bigger! It started rumbling even worse, to the point of shaking my house. So I decided at that point that I had made a very large mistake using this company. I called another oil company and had them come to my house. They had to replace the nozzzle, clean the burner assembly and do the proper adjustments to get the furnace running smoothly. These things I thought A-1 oil had already done. I guess I will stay with the oil company that fixed my furnace correctly and stay away from A-1 oil. In my opinion A-1 oil is a repeat company, the more air bubbles they go out to check on the more income they make. Unless you have extra money to burn stay away from this company!!!!!!

I called to ask about oil (which they dont sell) BUT they do refer you to someone!!! I then asked about having my furnace cleaned. They were very helpful and honest. They gave me a price "quote" for a credit card purchase and one for cash, it was very reasonable. They were nice to me and not rude. They told me once fall hits its hard to fit cleanings in. They said the earliest was late November - early December. That the best time to have it done is Spring/Summer, because there not as busy then. It was understandable, I didnt get mad because they didnt come when I wanted them to. Now, I know to call during a more reasonable time. If you need your furnace cleaned there the place to call. I know when I need mine done I'll call them. Thanks for your help!

I have used this company for 5 years and I am very satisfied. I have had other companies and have not felt comfortable. It is nice to have a husband and wife team come and take care of my furnace every year and also know I can call 24 hours a day if I have a problem. I now leave my bulkhead open if I cannot be there...I trust them totally!

I,as a contractor, deal with this company on a daily basis. I respect that are a family owned company that are willing to do anything for there customers. I personally use them for my own household needs and my families and have NEVER had a problem with them. They come right when you have a problem, they will sit on the phone and instruct you with anything you need, they will go out in the middle of the night,they have even came out on Christmas Eve at NO charge so my family had heat. They do NOT overcharge...check other companies prices and you will see who overcharges. The only reason you would get charged extra would be on a weekend or holiday and that is expected with any business. I think maybe you should find someone new for the fact that you don't deserve for them to come to your house!!!

If your looking for a company to clean, repair or install a new heating system in your home or business....keep looking! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. If you like handing out money week after week and having your system run as badly as when they started, this IS the company you want to use. I have many bills from another company that had to fix and repair what A-1 Oil Service messed up. I have turned them into the BBB and the Consumer Protection Agency in the state of Connecticut. Small claims court is my next avenue. Again....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON.

October, 2007, A-1 oil service installed a new boiler ($5000),

September, 2008, I called and made an "apointment" for annual service/cleaning ($138.00 + tax). At that point in time, I was told, "We are extremely busy, and can't get to you until first week of November" We then agreed on an "apointment" of 7 November, 2008 at 3:00 PM. On 7 November, 2008, (after waiting 6 weeks) I left work early in order to accomodate this clown (he lives approximately 1/2 mile from me) at approximately 3:15 PM they contacted me via telephone to inform me that they would have to "re-schedule"until next week. Leaving me no explaination at all.

After further ivestigation I discover A-1 Oil Service, would have spent less than $10.00 for parts and the total job would have taken them (him, her) aproximately 30 minutes.

THIS PERSON DOES NOT WANT TO EARN $128.00 IN 30 MINUTES
