Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut (HFHECT) is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit Christian housing organization. Vision, Mission and Mission Principles  The organization relies on citizen engagement and is open to people of all faiths or no faith, who together with a hammer and nails can overcome differences to build a stronger community. The ReStore is a retail operation that takes in new and gently used appliances, furniture and building materials and re-sells them to the public. Money raised goes to support the creation of simple, decent housing in partnership with families in need through the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut.
