As physical, emotional, mental and spiritual beings we require different approaches and face different questions at various points in our journey called life. Often, we face these struggles without the knowledge of different interventions which can help aid us as we develop discernment and find our ways back to places of peace, equilibrium and happiness.
As a therapist, I hope to help people express thoughts and feelings which would otherwise be restricted, develop insight into triggers and past experiences which may be impacting their current relationships and/or mental health; while equipping them with tangible tools to aid in overcoming and working through seasons of struggle and attaining their desired outcome.

- Throughout my professional career I have worked extensively with adolescents and adults, struggling with depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, eating disorders, poor self-esteem and other distorted imaging issues, grief and loss, interpersonal relationship problems including marital/family counseling and conflicts of faith. My educational background is in psychodynamic theory and I have practiced using psychodynamic therapy, while incorporating other therapeutic interventions and skills gained through trainings and courses. These additional interventions which I have been well versed in are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialect Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Reality Therapy (RT).

- As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I have worked in various settings gaining experience and knowledge with diverse populations, suffering and struggling with various problems and disorders. Having worked for well-known agencies and companies across Long Island and in Queens, including but not limited to LIJ, Catholic Charities and The Pederson-Krag Center; I have developed a wealth of knowledge which has equipped me to effectively help people suffering with a wide range of challenges. Having worked in a hospital setting, intensive outpatient program for eating disorders, partial hospitalization program, in mental health clinics and school-based programs, as well as in high schools; I am equipped to help people seeking both long and short-term treatment.
