Sundown Industries Corporation is a diverse company with divisions for magnetics for various markets including OEM, recycling, Dairy and others, manufacturing and distribution, consumer poly products, custom software, web site content management systems and other information technology. Sundown delivers superior quality products and services to companies worldwide. We have customers in all 50 states and over 20 countries. Sundown Industries Corporation was originally founded as Garber Products in 1947 as a small manufacturer of imprinted advertising specialties items on Riverdale Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. The original business consisted of imprinting on novelty items including simulated "lucky rabbits foot" key chains, mechanical pencils, small magnets and personal sun-visors that clipped to the brims of baseball caps. All products were sold through advertising specialty dealers. In 1982, the name was changed to Sundown Industries Corporation and the focus began shifting away from the novelty items and towards magnetics, primarily for domestic metals markets including recycling, scrap, smelting, refining and more. In 1983, The company had only 2 products outside the growing magnetics business. An automotive sun visor extender ( based on the original personal sun visor product ) and a removable-reusable static cling window tinting film. In 1985, Sundown added a consumer packaged disposable poly glove to round out the small but growing product line. All 3 non-magnetics business products had generic packaging and were sold in bulk exclusively for resale through mail order / catalog firms. By 1995, Sundown began to notice the growing market for consumer packaged disposable gloves and made a decision to revamp and expand it's disposable glove line. Additional items were added as well as a complete retail packaging makeover, including full color process printed boxes in multiple configurations to suit small retailers as well as big-box stores. Retail sales reps were brought on board and the line of disposable gloves made headway into some of the country's best known retailers, including Bed Bath & Beyond-Harmon, Albertsons, True Value, Rose Stores and many smaller, independent retail co-op's around the country. In late 1998, Sundown began its technology division with the acquisition of Adcom MultiMedia. The move added a unique line of software utilities and integration applications to Sundown's growing list of products and services. During the next few years, as the internet became more popular, Sundown's technology division expanded to offer high-end custom database driven web site based software services.
