Dr. Joseph Treadwell has previously been selected as “Podiatrist of the Year” for his service, leadership and contribution to the advancement of foot and ankle medicine and surgery. He is a governor appointee to the Connecticut Board of Examiners in Podiatry. Dr. Treadwell, an international lecturer, has published numerous articles and book chapters on trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. He is a past-president of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and serves as site director for the Yale Podiatric Surgical residency program. Dr. Treadwell is a past-president of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association and has served as a surgical residency evaluator for the Council on Podiatric Medical Education. He is Chief of Podiatry at The Hospital of Central CT. His areas of expertise include adult revisional and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma and pediatric foot and ankle disorders. Dr. Treadwell is one of the few surgeons in the country that performs small joint arthroscopy of the foot preventing the need for large incisions. Dr. Treadwell sports medicine background asists him in treating athletes of all levels. Dr. Treadwell serves the communities of New Britain, Bristol, Southington, Farmington and surrounding regions for the Plainville office. He treats patients at The Hospital of Central CT in New Britain, Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington and Bristol Hospital. In addition to hospital based surgery Dr. Treadwell also performs outpatient surgery at Connecticut Surgery Center in Farmington, CT. Dr. Treadwell serves the communities of New Milford, Danbury, Southbury, Woodbury, Litchfield and surrounding regions for the New Milford office.
