do not use these guys, save yourself time and money. they came to give an estimate. we decided to move forward with them, they showed up 8 hours late from the time originally communicated, dropped their equipment off and said they will be back in the morning. they no showed, didn't come back for 3 days and when they did, they asked for a deposit to cover materials before they would agree to move forward. keep in mind when they gave the estime that communicated that they do not need cash up front and that we don't have to make a payment until the job is complete. told them to take their equipment and leave, these guys are on Angies list, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS YOU CAN! its just to bad you can't leave a review with NO STARS!

Do not even bother letting him quote. Signed a contract referencing the scope written by our engineer. Ripped up the entire road (in the most inefficient way I've seen) then, when he must have realized he under-estimated, doubled his price - after we had a signed contract - or said he would leave it just dirt and stones.



I've been in project management for years and have never seen anybody act so unprofessionally in my life.

Hired MR. Stanley to redo my driveway because it had many cracks in it. What a mistake. I have never seen someone so unprofessional I have tried numerous times to contact Mr. Stanley with no response the driveway has a very big puddle and I am a handicapped so that's going to be a problem in the winter time. I have contacted the Massachusetts attorney generals office for some. Go elsewhere to get paving projects done because once there is a problem you won't hear from him again he will not answer your calls or return them!!!!!!!

Mr. Stanley gave me a good quote to replace my driveway that had a water problem in it. He assured me that he would take care of the problem and there wouldn't be anymore water. Well not 2 days later it rained and I now have a bigger puddle than before. Place many calls to James paving co, James Stanley with no response. I have sent certified letters to his address in plainville MA with no response, the next step is to contact attorney generals office and every other agency to help me he should be put out of BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!

Easy to work with; got my driveway paved on the day I requested. Did the work early in the day and when I got home from work found a new driveway surface. Looks good; no seams, is even. I had him regrade the part by the street because the toy car scrapes on the old one if I don't turn in just right. The new driveway looks like scraping will be occurring less often. James has a low car also; understands what those of us with low cars go through and can try to help reshape a driveway to reduce those annoying scraping sounds when you pull into the driveway.

Would recommend to someone looking for a resurfacing.

Had Mr. Stanley give me a quote for a small project at my business the quote was very reasonale and Mr. Stanley SEEMED like a stand up guy. Well my driveway within 1 week fell apart and i had holes in my driveway. I contacted Mr. Stanley everyday for 3 weeks with my problems regarding the driveway and he NEVER contacted me back I am in talks with the Attorney General of Massachusetts to have Mr. Stanley fix my property and see if any charges could be brought against him. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS A ONGOING PROBLEM WITH JAMES PAVING COMPANY CALL THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND MAKE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THIS COMPANY AND MAYBE WE WILL SEE SOME ACTION TAKEN

James Paving quoted me a reasonable price and time to complete the work. He was responsive to my phone calls and showed up when he promised. His crew of 8 guys and James arrived in the morning, James instructed them on what needed to be done and the job was perfect. James was there for the finishing touches and made sure I was happy with the job. He never asked for any money up front and frankly if the other reviews weren't happy with the job...why did they pay him???

There were no surprises and he did not fall short of the needed material to do the job properly. His trucks and equipment were in great shape and his crew were cordial and professional.

I would recommend James Paving without hesitation. Ask him for references if you have any doubts.

He put a driveway in for me around in November and had to remove it because it was “Real Bad”. It crumpled up so bad that part of it was in the street, part of it was in my front and back yards due to removing snow during the winter and the rest was in my house. The finish was so loose due to the large aggregate that you would carry it every where you walked.



The Pitch was so bad that when it rained or snowed there would be a long puddle across the front of the garage door and when it gut cold it would freeze.



My wife and 2 daughters while walking on it with high heels sunk in and gut stuck.



I reported them to the State Contractors Board and they agreed to replace it after the state finally forced them to come to a hearing because they were being very uncooperative. They agreed to replace the drive way using specifications from another contractor’s estimate I received.



They finally replaced the old driveway a few days ago and it is only slightly better than the one that was removed. The top coat is still two loose in some areas and the water near my garage door takes forever to drain because the pitch is so slight. I don’t know how it is going to be this winter.



I am contemplating filing another claim with the State Contractors Board.

BEWARE JAMES STANLEY is a gypsy paving scam artist. google stanley see what you get. he did my driveway it cracked and crumbled in one week. He doesnt return calls something needs to be down we all need to complain to the attorney general of ma. he takes our money he lives in a great mansion in wrentham DONT USE THIS COMPANY FIND SOMEONE ELSE. WE need to take this JERK to court or better yet put him out of business. Companies like JAMES PAVING CO shouldnt be able to do this to hard working people. I had james tear up my old driveway to put down a new one and he did such a bad job, the driveway is crumbling and cracking, he doesn't return phone calls, he lied about his guarantee, I've reported him to the better business bureau and the attorney general's office and now i will file a complaint at the wrentham courthouse. He took my money and did the worst job anyone could ever do..........Stay away from this company

I made the same mistake to hire them, and I regreted every minute. Go with anyone else if you want a decent job done. They did such a terrible job. For you to have an idea, I can't even place my car in the garage, because they piled a load of paving in front of the door making it impossible to get in the garage. I wish that I could place the photos so anyone could see the crap job this company did at my house. Now I have to hire someone else to rip off the whole driveway and start it again.



This company should be put out of business....

Don’t make my mistake, go elsewhere. I was eager to get a project done. I didn’t find any reviews for this crappy place, so I went with them. I have come to regret this. Now I want others to be able to hear from one of their customers.

I get sick every time I look at my driveway, and think what I paid for it and how it came out. All they cared about was grabbing my money, not the quality of their work. They refused to pull permits for the construction project. This place sucks.
