Avoid this company. Worse leasing company in the metroplex. First, they will nickel and dime you for everything!!!!! And I mean, everything. I lived in one of their rental properties for 6 years and was billed for every single maintenance call I ever had to make.

ONE week after moving into my rental property, I noticed the dishwasher, refrigerator (ice maker), and garbage disposal wasn't working properly. It took First Choice 10 days to get someone out to fix the issues (they are ridiculously slow at responding to maintenance requests). Then they had the audacity to bill ME several hundred dollars for the broken appliances, even though these appliances was broke before I even moved in. I refused to pay; however, when I moved out (6
years later), they deducted that service call and appliance repairs from my security deposit. Unbelievable!!!

Three years after living there, there was an issue with the air conditioning. It took them 4 days to respond (and it was in the middle of July). Then they tried to bill me for that!!!! Anytime you need them, they are slow to respond and they never take ownership or financial responsibility for ANYTHING.

I took excellent care of my rental property, as if I owned it myself. I always kept it clean and the yard manicured. I even received the "Yard of the Month" award 4 times from the HOA we were apart of. We took excellent care of our property. I even invested my own money into the landscaping, the fence that was falling over that they would never send someone out to fix, and a new $400 screen/glass door for the front of the house. They couldn't have asked for a better tenant, but yet, when it came to moving out and getting my security deposit back, they even tried to deduct $500 for ridiculous crap (such as new batteries in the fire alarms, new light bulbs for the bathrooms, lawn fertilized, etc.).

If you do decide to lease a property through this company....just be prepared to pay for anything and everything that goes wrong with the property (no matter what they tell you up front, you WILL BE CHARGED....I PROMISE). And be prepared to be scammed out of your security deposit when it comes time to move out. Oh, and be prepared to have little, to NO COMMUNICATION, when you need to get a hold of them. They are horrible at getting back to their clients. Be prepared to have to make multiple calls before someone will call you back.

RENTERS BEWARE! This company is a SCAM.

I did not have a good experience with Lindsay Ford Reyes at First Choice Realtors and would not recommend working with her. She does not keep her word and is unethical. I just wish I had read her online reviews before signing a contract with her! Buyers beware of this agent!

Lindsay A. Ford Reyes is a real estate agent of First Choice Realtors. The experience that I have had with this agent has been extremely poor and frustrating. She was the property manager of a house that we rented in Frisco, TX. She misrepresented the property prior to lease signing and then threatened to apply additional fees on items that were previously discussed and ok’d. When repair orders were sent, it took several weeks and additional requests to have them completed, even items that were dangerous (for example, severely warped deck with nails sticking out, broken locks on outside doors and non-functioning smoke detectors). I would encourage consumers to research this agents online reviews as it appears that many others have had poor experiences with her over the past few years. My recommendation would be to avoid this agent/agency all together!

Lindsay is extremely dishonest and unethical. I would avoid doing any type of business with her in its entirety. She will lie to get you to sign a lease then go back on her word adding additional costs to the consumer. She will not fix dangerous items on the property that you are renting from her. Do yourself a favor and avoid this agent.

Never do business with First Choice.I have one property it was managed by First Choice(that was BIG MISTAKE on the beginning.)I cancelled my contract with them and they send most of my staff back to me but the pool key was notIn there. So I called their office (Kathy Singleton) she told me she just mailed it. But I still not get after 1 week called her again and I told her she need to reimburse me $50.00 for the replace pool key. Spuriously her responds were: ‘Because I dropped the mail on the mail box. This is post office fault.’ ‘This is your fault because you did not come to our office to pick up.’ ‘This is nothing to do with me.’ When I complained their service and Jerri Gilbert respond to me ‘The returned email or phone call are not on the contract. She DON’T have to do those.’ They are IRRESPONSIBLE AND ALWAYS ALWAYS BLAME SOMEONE. This is unbelievable just like robbery. NEVER NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM (FIRST CHOICE: OWNER: JERRI GILBERT & KATHY SINGLETON). CHECK THEIR REVIEWS!!!!!!!!

First Choice Realtors have managed my property for almost 4 years now and I cant tell you how happy I have been with all aspects of the management process. I moved halfway around the world so I needed a group that could deal with the entire process.

Lindsay helped us purchase our first home in 2007. She did a great job of helping us find the perfect house and helped us understand the process of finding a lender and applying for a loan, as we were first time home buyers. We chose to use Lindsay as our realtor again when we were ready to move and put our house on the market last year. She came over and personally helped us "stage" our home before listing it, so that it would be more attractive to buyers. We got two offers within two weeks. I would definitely recommend her. Very professional and knowledgeable.
