Smith has been practicing General Dentistry in Plano, TX since 1982.He graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 1981.He earned his B.S. (cum laude) and his M.S. degrees from the then North TexasState University (now UNT) in Denton.He is a member of the American Dental Association,a life member of the Texas Dental Association and of the Dallas County Dental Society. He has been married to his wife Carol since 1980 She has been his office manager and dedicated partner since the practice was established in Plano, TX. Together they have two sons, Steven and Eric, and Dr. Smith also has another son, Brian. During his free time Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his family and when possible getting his feet wet while enjoying his love of fly-fishing. Prior to returning to college to pursue his dental career Dr Smith served in the US Army as a decorated helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War.
