Provided by YP.comI had gone here for a couple of years, and can understand some of the other comments about long turn around on glasses. A few months ago I was reviewing an EOB from a visit earlier in the year and realized I had been over charged and never received a refund from them. I called many times to get this reviewed and finally got someone to look into why I was over charged, it should not have been this tough. I have always had providers send a check to me within 30 days once they get their Explanation of Benefits /EOB back from the insurance, this was 3 months later and I had to notify them. I was suspicious that this could be fraud but of course it has to be proven they knowingly did this. However, once they were notified they should have quickly resolved it. This took another month and Dr Fitzhugh did write me a letter to apologize and to acknowledge I had been overcharge and stated my refund was $141.00, but there was no refund check. I called 3 more times and finally got through to them and they said they would take care of it today. It did not happen so I drove over to the office and waited for them to refund my money. His only excuse was they were busy (I've never been in there when it's that busy). Regardless, I won't be back and have notified people I referred there of this horrible experience, terrible service and questionable ethics.

Provided by YP.comI have never been so disgusted with a doctor in my life. I had my exam and received my glasses in 7 days. One of the lenses was so far off prescription, I couldn't see through the lens. The doctor re-did the exam and came up with a different reading which by his own admission was considerably off. They re-sent to lab to fix the prescription. I waited 10 days and had to call the doctor to ask why the delay. They called the lab and couldn't find the order. I waited another 10 days and doctor said 1 more day. I called 3 days later and the lab is holding the order and the doctor doesn't know why. I have had to initiate every phone call and consider this the worst service from a doctor that I have every received. I should have read the previous review before I ever wasted my time. Do not use Plano Vision.

Provided by YP.comUnreliable.
My experience with Plano Vision and Dr. Fitzhugh has been one of the most frustrating ones I've ever had with a medical professional. On March 30th, I went in for an eye exam and a pair of new glasses. It's now October 12th, or over 6 months later. I now have the right glasses/prescription and think that I have paid, more or less, the right amount.
During that period, I was given 4 different pairs of glasses, 3 of which were either the wrong prescription or the wrong lenses, or both. Although the time between each pair was 4 to 6 weeks, there was no follow up with me (nor the lab, apparently), unless I called Plano Vision to question where my glasses were. In fact, most contacts with Plano Vision required multiple calls to get them to respond to my inquiries.
I was told that these long delays were because Plano Vision was switching labs. Evidentially, they left their previous lab on less than good terms. That previous lab was the one Dr. Fitzhugh was using for my glasses, and the one he stuck with despite the repeated delays and mistakes on the glasses. In one conversation I had with him, he said he would be giving me a discount for the poor service he was providing, but he didn't follow up on that either.
Further, when I received the explanation of benefits from EyeMed, I called them to try to correlate it to the bill I received from Plano Vision. It became clear that the bill was suspect. After raising the issue with Dr. Fitzhugh, he sent me a letter explaining his charges and admitting he overcharged by $51, as well as submitting the EyeMed claim with other errors. Those led to Plano Vision resubmitting the claim -- again after multiple phone requests. Today, October 12th, I finally got a revised explanation from his office, although I'm not sure which to now believe.
The ongoing theme was one of poor service and even poorer follow up. It left me with the feeling that Dr. Fitzhugh either didn't really care about how his business was treating me or was unable to do anything to improve it. Because I had gone to him for my previous pair of glasses and received outstanding service, this situation was all the more puzzling. That said, Plano Vision won't be getting a third chance with me.
