Plant City High School was originally built in 1914, and the new school site at Plant City, Florida, was established in 1972. The school has seven national board-certified teachers, and in 2006, almost 20% of the students in the high school passed an AP exam. Some of the extracurricular activities offered here are music classes for guitar and keyboard, chorus singing, and orchestra. The school also has a basketball team and a media center that is open during lunch and before school allowing students to carry out research activities and also use computers as part of their research. Students are given the privilege to make online payments for their lunch.
