Dr. Leibowitz pursued his undergraduate degree at Columbia University in New York City, graduating in 2001 magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He attended New York University School of Medicine, receiving his Doctorate of Medicine in 2005. He was elected to the prestigious medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, in 2005. Following medical school, Dr. Leibowitz completed a year of residency in general surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia. He then completed four years of residency in Otorhinolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, including a year as chief resident, at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Following residency, he completed a two year fellowship at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, focusing on head and neck surgery and microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck. During that time, he served as a clinical instructor at the University of Miami. Dr. Leibowitz has an active role in research, and has presented at numerous national and international meetings. Current research interests include surgical outcomes following microvascular reconstruction for head and neck cancer, outcomes following surgery for Zenker’s diverticulum, and the use of Trans-oral Robotic Surgery (TORS) in the head and neck. Dr. Leibowitz is board certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He will be splitting his clinical time between the main medical campus and the satellite office in Plantation (Broward County). He is currently accepting new patients.
