Dallas County High School has several academic departments that include business management, computer education, criminal justice, driver education, family and consumer science and mathematics. The school provides lessons in economics, media, music, science, social studies and Spanish language. It additionally offers membership in a variety of organizations, such as the National Honor Society, science and Spanish clubs, and drama and math teams. The school has a parent-teacher organization that provides an opportunity to discuss mutual concerns of parents and teachers and fosters communication with the school and the community.
