BEWARE: STAFF AND OWNER SMOKE AROUND THE DOGS IN THE BACK!!!!



I only made it two weeks as a nonsmoking employee because I ended up with bronchitis from cigarette smoke exposure. The owner smokes and allows her staff to smoke in the open kennel area. It gets really bad back there. I'm a KC resident and found out it is legal in Platte City to allow this.

This review is strictly as an FYI for dog owners!!!Susan, the owner, told me she allows smoking and she "just doesn't care who has a problem with it"....city says its legal. They can smoke however many cigarettes they want and have NO designated smoke break times! Beware!

My baby LOVES this place. He is has a huge fenced in yard with 2 doggy doors so its not like its a must; its a treat for him. The staff is amazing. The grooming is top notch. I am one of those "overly protective" dog mommies and I always know my sweets is waggin his tail when he is here. 2 thumbs up! And as far as the amonia comment above, hats off to keeping the place CLEAN! Im sure it needs a good scrubbing frequently, and perhaps you happened to visit after such?

Main Street Pet Resort is outstanding for grooming, pet daycare and boarding. My dog is energized when he returns from there! Main Street wisely limits the amount of pets they board it seems, so they can best care for them. It's definitely quality over quantity at Main Street.They pick up and drop off pets ($3 round trip) at Fort Leavenworth too so it's very convenient. They offer a military discount which is always nice for military families! The staff are clearly animal lovers, as evidence by their happy pets who come to work with them. I like that you can pick up boarded pets on a Sunday too (between noon-5pm). Main Street has 24/7 staff coverage too which is another great feature. I highly recommend this caring and professional team.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! I board my dog here often and I'm always pleased. I wouldn't leave my pup with anyone else!

This is the place to go and get your fix of Ammonia including eye burn, Just saying!
