Mountain Lake Public Telecommunications Council, a volunteer board of trustees representing the geographic area of the station's broadcasting signal owns and operates Mountain Lake PBS. It is a not-for-profit organization and is the licensee of WCFE TV/Channel 57. The company, a member of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), broadcasts 24 hours a day and features quality and non-commercial programming, such as NOVA, Masterpiece Theatre, BBC World News, Nature, Frontline and various children's programs including Sesame Street, Arthur and Curious George.
