North Country Home Services provides a variety of home health care services to assist individuals in their homes enabling them to remain as independent as possible when undergoing stress and/or hardships due to illness, disability, injury or limitations due to age. Home Health Aides, Personal Care Aides and Chore Companions are available via contract from North Country Home Services or may also be funded by the following programs and payment sources:All North Country Home Services Home Health & Personal Care Aides are supervised by registered nurses licensed in New York State.Prior approval and authorizations for care and payment must be verified. North Country Home Services provides paraprofessional services within the scope of practice set forth by NYS Department of Health and in compliance with New York State Department of Health regulationClients who have Lifeline also have the ability to answer incoming phone calls without going to the telephone. TheLifeline unit turns the client's existing telephone into a speaker phone. If the client is close enough to the telephone to hear the caller, and to be heard by the caller, they don't neeed to move to the phone to answer it. Simply push their button, that they carry, and speak to the caller. When they have completed the call the unit will automatically terminate the call when the caller hangs up. This feature helps to eliminate accidents caused by rushing to answer the phone.
