Sam is a great guy! His crew is amazing! The quality of work is great! They even bent over backwards for me a few times and they were awesome! But I had to dock stars because of the time to complete the project and lack of communication.



It has been 6 weeks since we have seen him or heard from him. He won't return phone calls or texts. And there is still hundreds of dollars left to finish. (Mainly adjusting coloring of cement and sealing it. There are also four outlets to be installed, four sprinklers, and some soil needed.) I understand, as well, if things come up and that he may be swamped, but what I don't understand is why he won't respond. I've tried given him space and waited a few weeks to contact him, but nothing. So now I've begun calling and leaving messages or texting every day for a week. And still nothing.



So if you hire him, you'll love his work, but don't give him that last payment until the work is completely done.

Sam McCombie of SMC Construction Services has done extensive, outstanding, work for us over several years. He is extremely easy to work with. He has creative, knowledgeable ideas, but is also open to suggestions and plans. He is very detail oriented. He has made Ready Rock walls for us as well as engineered rock walls with stairs. He has made a waterfall pond with stepping stones, a rock fire-ring, entry stairs with lighting, and bollards. He has also delivered and spread all types of rock and soil. We highly recommend Sam McCombie.

Sam and his crew saved our mountain ! I have a 10 acre mountain retreat in Park City that experienced a severe mud slide. Most excavation firms told me it was too difficult for them to tackle. It had been repaired before by an excavator, but it failed. I was lucky enough to find Sam, and he and his engineers developed a full analysis and solution.
