Herrera Patricia MFT
344 Division St, Pleasanton, CA 94566
work largely with the client¹s unconscious processes, depth psychotherapy. I strive to facilitate the exploration of the beliefs, attitudes and assumptions which have organized their lives, but which may not necessarily be serving them in the present. My work continues to be based on the principles of mindfulness and the client's present experience. My training over the years includes the Hakomi Method, Relational and Experiential Couples Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Transpersonal Approaches to psychotherapy, which includes Reiki and ritual. This work encompasses specialization in the following areas: Depression, Chronic Illness, and Anxiety; Queer Issues; Multi-cultural issues; Trauma; Couple¹s Issues including communication, identity, polyamory, and sexuality issues; and Spiritual Issues. My supervision work with Marriage and Family Therapy interns has been challenging and rewarding. It is work that I very much enjoy. My Spanish language skills are of native fluency and I am available to work with clients both in English and Spanish, as needed.
