Pleasanton Police Department offers crime prevention, community policing and traffic control services. It also provides special services for animals and youths. The department develops home security, personal safety, robbery prevention and identity theft programs to eliminate or reduce crime. Its operations division is staffed with more than 60 police officers, over five community service officers and several police explorers.
