Provided by YP.comI have two daughters and my older one was very attracted to music since she was a baby. Naturally, we tried to give her the best possible environment to support her love of music, and so we have always been looking for a “better” piano teacher. What we did find out as the years go by was that there were so many piano teachers in the area who can teach how to play a song or two that you want to play in fancy manner, but not necessarily how to build the basic foundation skills and techniques. I wanted to give my daughter a kind of option that can go more than just “I can play better than my friends” and be serious about playing music or even consider to build a career with it, if she chooses in future to do so. After trying more than a few piano teachers for about 3-4 years, we have finally found Radayeva Music Studio.
Currently, both of my two daughters (now 11 and 7) are learning piano at this studio and once in a while (maybe every other year or so), we have had to switch teacher due to the conflict of our schedule but all the teachers that we have learned from in the past at this studio were great teachers. You can check the teachers’ background on the website and can even see it shown on the hallway. They are all teachers of great quality. Not only that, the studio’s administrator, Rimma, can arrange you the piano teacher according to your preference (if you do not need to be on the waiting list – some teachers can be very popular). Many teachers at the studio are from Russia and other eastern European countries, but that does not mean that they are stern or too strict, as you may imagine from the stereotype. They are very patient yet they know how to give students an extra “push” so they will learn eventually to become a better musician as well as to build discipline.
I also like the fact that, at this studio, they give you opportunities to participate in certain exams or competitions so your child have the chance to see the “bigger” world than just having two recitals per year with his/her favorite teacher and other students. If you want to pay the money to give your child a music lesson with good quality, this studio should definitely be the one.
By the way, there are some minor rules that you must strictly follow, and they expect students and their family to obey. So if you are not so good at keeping promises, nor showing polite manners to others, maybe you should look for other music studio.
