We looked everywhere for a quality patio door and found we could get a Pella door at Lowes or directly from them in Plymouth. The cost difference was significant, but we bought into the premise that the Pella location would do a better job installing than Loews. Bottomline, we should have saved the money and gone with Lowes. Here is why:

* The installers left a huge mess behind with red dust all over the first floor.

* The caulk on the outside of the house was glopped on and looked horrible.

* The weatherstripping was not properly installed

* There were nail pop holes all over that were not covered up



It took at least 6 visits to my house to address these issues, which required us to change our plans to accommodate their timing.



Next time, we will just go to Lowes and save the money with expectations it may not go well, but at least we will save the cash!!
