Willowbrooke Farm was founded in 1990 as a small business with just a few lessons given each week. Over the years, we have grown into a full service business which includes boarding, lessons, training, shipping, sales, camps, and horse shows. Jennifer has been involved with horses her entire life. As a junior rider, she was actively involved in local 4-H and Pony Clubs. She learned Dressage at a Trakehner breeding farm, and she has shown in Dressage and Jumping. Growing up, she began to focus more on training young horses for the hunter ring, which brought her to a large sales and lesson barn where she worked for 6 years. She has competed both locally and nationally on her own horses and with her students, including yearly at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Palm Beach, Florida. Currently, Jennifer is head trainer of Willowbrooke Farm, and the coach of the University of Michigan Intercollegiate Equestrian Team (where she has had a student win the 2001 National Championship in Open Equitation Over Fences ). She is currently on the Michigan Hunter Jumper Association (MHJA ) Board of Directors, and also the Board of Directors for the Hunter Jumper Association of Michigan (HJAM ). Jenny Steinmetz runs our public lesson program and day camps. She is a graduate from the University of Findlay, who majored in English Equestrian Studies and graduated with a bachelors degree Magna Cum Laude in 2003. She has ridden for 14 years, as a junior showing everything from Hunters and Dressage to Arabian, Saddlebred, and Quarter Horse breed shows. She was also an active 4-H member.

Run! Run! Run! the other direction. Do not take children here, very unsafe for beginners. School horses either belong to boarders or are CANTER horses which are unwanted cheep to buy off the track TB, that are not trained for kids. If you don't have lots of money and cannot afford $35,000 horses and A circuit shows every were, your shoved to the back of the barn, were the horses are not feed. They talk big, but only to rich owners. My daughter saved her money all year to go to horse camp and all they did was watch videos, clean horse tack, and other chores the barn did not want to do. I think they rode a total of 3 hours the entire week. So Run! Run! Run! to a farm with a heart.

Horrible Horse Treatment

I would NOT recommend your horse being boarded here. I boarded there my horse was very ill the owner of the stable said No need for doctor. My vet was very glad I called telling me my horse was in really bad shape needed 3 different medications everyday for one month. Owner of the stable refuses for horses to wear flysheets leaving them in nasty pasture conditions. DONT RECOMMEND YOUR HORSE BOARDED AT WILLOWBROOKE FARMS !!!!!
