I will not rate the whole hospital as being totally useless, but I must rate Dr. Frances Duke with being totally unprofessional and having absolutely no bedside manner.

"Patient" arrives at Emergency room with a piece of metal stuck in the bottom of her foot. The foot is swollen and painful and Patient has fever. Nurse asks Patient if she had a recent tetanus shot... she had not. Nurse reports to Dr. Frances Duke that patient would need tetanus shot.

Dr. Duke comes into the room to see Patient and ridicules Patient for having come to the Emergency Room over something so "silly". She then proceeds to give Patient a shot in the bottom of the foot. Patient asks for something to numb the sensitive area before having the shot and Dr. Duke then ridiculed her by saying "You can handle childbirth but you can't handle the pain in your foot???". Dr. Duke walks out of the room and makes snide comments about Patient to others in the area... including nurses, aids, and other patients within earshot. At this point, Patient is in tears due to humiliation and just wants to go home. She asked for the tetanus shot at least and was refused. Patient leaves the Emergency room and can still hear the inappropriate comments being said about her, including the fact that she is overweight.

Dr. Frances Duke needs to not practice medicine until she learns humility and humanity.
