Every time we go through Pocatello, we eat @ ButterBurrs (if possible). We love the food. The soups are GREAT. The pies are wonderful. You've got to try it!

Every experience I've had at this place was a disappointment. The food is lousy...the grill hasn't been cleaned in years because I was tasting decades of rancid grease on more than one visit. I don't know how to describe the disgusting mashed potatoes except to say there is a true Idaho potato out there weeping. The last piece of pie I had was so old and stale, I took two bites and pushed it away. The servers don't really want to be there. You can tell when employees are unhappy because they take it out on you. I kept giving the place a second chance on the hope that I just caught them on a bad night, but I've come to the conclusion that every night is a bad one for this place.

If you value service that plops your food down and walks off without a glance back at your table then this is your kind of place. If you enjoy food that is too cold or rubbery to swallow then Butter Burrs is absolutely the place to go. Most importantly, if you enjoy an atmoshpere where the manager tells a disgruntled customer in her most condensending voice to "have a great night" and listen as that poor customer sadly walks away cursing under her breath because that horrible manager just charged her full price for a dinner that wasn't edible, then this is your "kinda place".

We visit Butter Burrs every summer as we travel through on our way to Montana to visit family. We always make it our priority to stop in and eat there for dinner and breakfast the next morning. We have tried many of the menu items and have always liked all we have eaten there! We feel comfortable and at home with very tasty food and great waitresses and employees. The cinnamon twists and bread twists are an added favorite! The bacon is the best we have ever had! Thank you Butter Burrs, keep up the great work! We look forward to seeing you this month!
