Our air handler recently had a leak and we had just passed the 5 year warranty mark. I registered my outdoor unit and air handler in August of 2014 for a new build after being installed by Air Central Heating and AC of Blythewood, SC.

Unfortunately, all that showed as being covered from Rheem with the 10 year warranty was the outdoor A/C unit, not the air handler. Both were installed at the exact same time and I cannot imagine why I would have not registered the air handler on the Rheem website. I do not know if I missed a step and did something in error more than 5 years ago or if it was a website/IT issue.

Two different HVAC companies gave me quotes to replace the coil, and both said that the non-warranty coverage was “just the way it was and nothing could be done to make Rheem honor the 10 year warranty.”

A friend gave me David’s contact info and advised that I reach out to him. David then reached out to Rheem accounts and made things right and got them to honor the 10 year warranty on the air handler. He argued that there was no reason that the A/C unit, logically, would be covered yet not the air handler; save a technicality.

David’s actions saved me thousands of dollars for this particular repair issue, and only time will tell how
much it will save me in the next 4.5 years of the now retroactively covered 10 year warranty.

Beyond this, his team that performed the install were complete professionals and great to work with. I am looking forward to having a trustworthy HVAC company for life.

Efficient and quick, installed in one day and cleaned up afterwards. Installed condensate water trap under home expertly. Did not tear up anything in during installation. Good job!

Absolutely professional. They used drop cloths and vacuumed every area in which they worked. The air in our home is perfect AND it was only a three year old home. I am in awe as to the difference a properly designed system offers.

Don't buy cheeseburgers from a heating and air company!!!
