The Athens-Meigs Educational Service Center plays a role in enhancing learning for members of area schools. It works in partnerships with the community to improve student achievement. The center is comprised of more than 200 staff members that include speech and language pathologists, supervisors and coordinators, and occupational and physical therapists. The Athens-Meigs Educational Service Center supports a parent mentor program that helps families to become involved in their children's education, connect them to necessary resources and provide a lending library of reference materials. It also administers educational research and after-school programs. The center s academic curricula include math, science, social studies, English, computer application, music, and agriculture and physical education.
