Provided by YP.comwell where do i begin, my husband wanted to be a sweetheart and order my favorite flowers for Valentines. He ordered an arrangement from FTD that was to be filled by Francis Florists. FIrst, they spoiled the whole surprise when they called and annouonced they had a delivery for me and needed directions. when they show up i have to say the delivery was anti climatic actually thats an overstatement it was downright sad. i recieved 6 lillies and two sprigs of fern. i have never seen an "arrangement" so poorly put together. confused i called my husband to thank him and he said is it big? my response was how much did you pay? he told me $80 well at that point my blood began to boil there was NO WAY this was an $80 arrangement this was an 18 dollar arrangement and that is only because each lilly costs about 3 dollars! so i call ftd yeah right so then i call the florist, they said they would exchange my pitiful lillies for a new arrangement the one that my husband actually ordered. that was fine several hours after my call to them i recieve a call from them.. apparently they don't have the stargazer lillies My favorites and need to substitute a cheaper lilly, i say whatever. 7:30 pm i get my arrangement. I have to say the second arrangement was pretty. Not anything more than i should have gotten the first time but nice. However, just the sheer fact that on valentines day I had to call and complain about the junk arrangement they sent would be reason enough or me to NEVER use this florist again. but then they didn't even use my lillies the lillies that my husband ordered and made me return the first lillies they delivered when i shouldn't have even had to call give me a break!!!!! i am so glad that from the other reviews no one has had their day ruined like mine but i would never risk having another day ruined. this florist shop Tops my blackball list :(
We did make a mistake. One of our designers, on the busiest day of the year, looked up the wrong number in our selection guide and therefore the delivery was of the wrong arrangement. When Mrs Balin called I told her I would check into the matter and get back to her. I found the mistake and called her back. We, by this time, were sold out of Stargazer lilies and I could not get anymore in for two days. Since this was Valentines day, I gave her two choices. I could order in more Stargazers and deliver them in two days, or I could replace the arrangement that day with one of equal value. She AGREED to have us replace the piece and pick up the original one!!! I personally made the new piece with all the flowers that we called for except for the Stargazers. I used more lilies, Roses, and the other flowers than the FTD recipe called for and I put them in a more expensive vase. I pulled the same driver that made the first delivery to her off his route and sent him back to Point Pleasant (35 miles round trip) to her home. According to our driver, she was pleasant and commented on how beautiful the replacement was and she gave back the original without any negative comment. As far as her other comments, we did call before attempting delivery. We were given the number with the order and sometimes do this to make sure someone is home. She does not live in Point Pleasant, she lives a few miles out a route from the town. This was in the middle of winter and had we gone to her home and found no one there, we couldn't leave it outside so we would have tagged her doors and instructed her to come to our shop and pick up the order. (we are not required to make return trips) I do not doubt that her husband paid $80.00. There are a lot of hidden fees that internet sites charge and he could have saved a lot of money if he had just called us directly. I have a computer printout of the original order and we were instructed to fill the order for $50.00.
