My experience with Sheraton Fairplex & Conference Center in Pomona, CA was nothing short of a nightmare!! I don't normally give reviews but with much trepidation, I decided to do so in order to forewarn future customers/clients. I was planning a big birthday event for my daughter at this so called prestigious establishment but had an unpleasant experience with a Tiffany Garfias who's the catering manager at Sheraton. I had the tour of their numerous ballrooms and decided to book the Vineyard Ballroom. Upon leaving the hotel, I was given their 2014 menus was told by this Tiffany to "send me a proposal". So off I went to check out other surrounding hotels but my daughter chose the Vineyard Ballroom at Sheraton Fairplex. I reviewed their competitors' price lists that were readily available to me after the site tour and wrote a proposal to Sheraton Hotel. I negotiated a package deal with this Tiffany for a little over a week and was asked to return on a Monday to sign up the contract we had agreed upon. That was on a Friday late afternoon when our meeting was scheduled and all along she reiterated that the Vineyard Ballroom was available and will be on hold for my return on Monday. However, an hour before my appointment, this Tiffany called and stated "Oh, the ballroom you're interested in was already booked". I was very upset to say the least as she told me that the ballroom will be reserved upon my return on Monday!! I told her how is that possible when their catering office is closed on weekends! She stated "Well, my boss booked it with an event client from that weekend". Sooo unprofessional, cunning and deceitful!! If you want to save time and trouble, please avoid this person at this hotel!! In retrospect, I'm glad this had happened way before I signed their contract and placed my down payment. Such an event requires collaborative work and planning between the client and the catering personnel who are trustworthy, competent and ethical. Even if I was able to book that certain ballroom, problems would be inevitable when you deal with people of less than desirable ethics and integrity. Kindly heed to this review and be mindful of people such as Tiffany!! Sheraton Hotel may have such a good reputation in the industry but ultimately it is tainted by their failure to hire competent, honest and ethical employees!

great place to stay. helpful staff, big suites, clean, beautiful
