Second Street is complete trash. The store itself is fine. But the owner is a scumbag. I've refrained from posting this once before but this time he's gone too far. I've been a local here in Pompano Beach all my life and I've had great experiences surfing here with minimal agro from other surfers. For the second time in a couple of months the owner of second street has yelled at my younger brother and even cursed him out for surfing by him in the lineup. It's insane, like the ocean isn't big enough and he needs to catch every single wave like his life depends on it. Reality check bro, you're a washed up kook who owns a surf shop who should be mentoring younger kids out there instead of making them not want to surf anymore. Not to mention you're about to be a father somehow. I suggest you grow up and stop treating your customers like garbage. I'm never shopping in your store again and I hope that any local who surfs does the same. Surfing is a mellow sport that should promote sportsmanship and good vibes, not crushing kid's dreams and harshing everyone's time just because they're not Kelly Slater status yet. Do the right thing and either retire from surfing or stop being selfish and share the waves like any other decent surfer would.
