So I'm in the market for a car so last weekend(8/29/15) I'm searching craigslist cars(private owner) section and I come across a car I was interested so I call the number on the add which is Jons number and I asked him if I could see the car, he says yes and sends me his address. keep in mind the photos of the car were not at a dealership, these guys are deceiving so I assume its a private owner bc again they posted in the private owner section of craigslist. I don't know about anyone else but this is dishonest to me. so I get to the address Jon sent me only to find out it is a whole in the wall used car dealership. So I decide to continue with looking at the car bc i drove 20 miles to see it and I didn't want to waste my time or drive. I was not happy with the car, it did not look like the same car that was posted but I test drove it anyway. After the test drive I noticed the check engine light turned on and I brought my obd 11 scanner with me to see exactly what issues the car had but I asked Jon first why is it on and he said "I don't know but it drives good."(not what I want to hear when Im about to spend 5k on a used car.) So I proceed to run the scanner on the 2006 Passat he is trying to sell and I got so many codes so I told him I am not interested. Jon had to nerve to ask me if I could clear the check engine light with my ODB 11 scanner.(The only reason he wanted me to clear it is so the next person to come look at the car would not see it) When I asked Jon why is he posting on the private owner side of craigslist but he is a dealer his response was I just want to sell cars.



Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. Jon looks like he does some serious drugs as well, he looks like a tweeker. This guy is one of the used car salesman that just say anything for a quick sale. He will lie to you and steal your hard earned money and leave you with a lemon. If you don't believe me go right ahead and check him out. you will know who he is as soon as you see him! If you do decide to test your luck at this place it would be best if you bring someone who knows a lot about cars.
