coldspot a/c inc. also known as coolman. a/c

on or about july.2006 i contracted with cold spot to install new, whole house a/c system it should be noted here that i supplied all new components for system by trading my computer services to a large west palm beach a/c company all blue prints and system designs where done by the pro,s, new carrier 4ton 15ser condenser and 14ser 5 ton air handler and all new duct work and vents to be installed by coldspot a/c inc/coolman a/c.! Well air handler and condenser work went well,the company has one employee Lyndell who made a real custom install for air handler ,but from there on it was all down hill,helpers falling through ceilings and not repairing the holes correctly, if at all,as far as finishing the job running duct work to front of the house. I'm still waiting and the owner will not complete the job ,Ive all ready paid, at the time he claimed it was too hot to work in attic? a/c company that doesn't go in attic? this guy doesn't answer my calls , and when i call from other phone number and he does answer ! i cant understand him [or maybe every bad cell phone connection]? the few times that he said he would finish job,the last time was on 4/9/09 he and some helper came over and all he does is look around up in attic, well next stop is small claims court.Ive had it with this guy,don't pay up front for anything,make him do job then if everything works correctly ,then pay him,if you would even consider using this company after reading this review. i may in the future change this review,if 1- he finish my home a/c system to speck.

Coldspot A/C came to my house to fix my A/C with a

tech and an uncertified female tech. They were working in

the attic for few hours. I went to check on them to see why they

were taking so long on a simple job that he had stated. I

found them sleeping on the job when I tried to wake them up they seemed

to be totally unconscious. They immediately woke up after I mentioned

his and her name several times and he stated that, "He was working all

day." Since this was a late night emergency call I gave them the

benefit of the doubt.

Therefore he got the A/C running properly and they left. In the middle

of the night I noticed that the A/C unit was no longer working and I

also smelled a faint odor of smoke coming from upstairs. So I

immediately called the technician. He stated to me, "that some type of

relay shorted out." He instructed me to look in the attic to make sure

that there was no fire or excessive smoke and told me where the main

power circuit breaker was located so I can turn off the A/C switch." As

instructed I went to turn off the A/C circuit breaker off and it had

already been switch off because of the relay shortage.

He told me that he would come over first thing in the morning. He

showed up late that afternoon after numerous phone calls that were

unanswered.

In conclusion, I would not recommend this company for any services, not

even to my worst enemy. I was in danger of my life and property. As I

was looking for another A/C company in the yellowbook I saw a rating

for this company and I found it ironic that the person who wrote the

rating was the same person who was introduced to me as his assistant

the day he worked on my A/C. So I believe that this A/C Company

ColdSpot INC. is unreliable and pathetic due to the work performance,

long waiting period and also rating there own company. Thank for your

consideration in this matter.
