Within 30 seconds of leaving my car to walk my friend to the front door of a restaurant, my car with lifted to be towed with a $60 charge for release. I saw a tow truck sitting in the parking lot of the convenient store who appeared to be waiting to tow cars. I was not staying at the location and simply went to drop off my friend to meet his wife and son. I walked him to the front of the restaurant next door and did not even step foot into the restaurant. I turned around to head back to my car in less than a minute. In that time, the tow truck driver made his way to my car. I ran over and said I was leaving and he hurried up and lifted my car so that I could not leave without paying $60. I told him I just left my car and saw him there but only stopped by to drop off my friend. He said that they were towing me because that parking spot was owned by Kwik Stop. I had intentions of going into Kwik Stop to grab an energy drink but didn't have the chance because of predatory towing practices targeting my car within seconds of walking away. The tow truck driver said tow stickers were on the wall of the building which I did not see and still could not find as he pointed to a general area. If you don't want your car to be towed within seconds of walking away, I would avoid going to Kwik Stop as they do not deserve business from locals.

For a neighborhood store they are not very neighborly.. They keep a spotter across the street and as soon as anyone parks on the side of their building, on the street, th spotter has the car towed. They keep a tow truck near by and the car is hooked up in minutes. This happened to multiple cars within the course of 1 hour that I saw. Do not patronize this store.
