Provided by YP.comAwful! Don't use this company!
These people tried to charge our card $4,400 after we used them. On the wall it says lost or damaged canoe $25. When we asked after they charged our card they claim that is just the minimum. Not only are their charges outrageous those canoes are used everyday no telling how much damage was already on the canoe and they try to ding us for it? Are you kidding me have you every heard of depreciating in value.
When we got to the take out no one helped us and we saw them load our "damaged" canoe on the trailer. The workers put their hands in our faces when we tried to talk to them and told us to stop talking.
All in our group have floated before but not close to flood level. The only question our group was asked was have you ever floated before. Everyone we saw that day that used lost valley felt the same that Lost Valley Canoe doesn't care about people just about their money. One group we ran into got charged double for the same amount of canoes we rented. Apparently they feel like they can just rip everyone off however they feel.
The other company you can use is buffalo outfitters and they helped us even though we didn't rent from them. They took better care of the people using them and floated the water checking on the people they rented to!

Provided by YPmobileA group of us rented two canoes and a kayak from lost valley canoe rental located in Ponca, Arkansas. We were asked if we had previous floating experience which we all did. After starting the float, we realized the float was entirely out of our comfort area but we still managed. We floated to Kyle's landing and upon arrival, we were told it would be up to one business day before we would receive our car, and at 12:30pm, they took our canoes and kayak that we paid for until 6pm. When we told them the canoes were paid for until 6pm and that our car was still not there, we were told "don't tell me what to do with my f-----g gear." This was the first of MANY times profanity would be used on their part. After questioning why we were not advised of the floating conditions, we were called liars because the women in the office always state the same things. We were called stupid because we floated the river at almost flood stage, however, their Facebook and the usgs website clearly stated the water was at a moderate level. When we disagreed with their statements, we were confronted by a number of the employees who posses a limited but colorful vocabulary. Their mentality and the behavior they displayed was inexcusable and pathetic. Thankfully, children were not present. After calling the park ranger, we were able to get the car that same day. I definitely would not recommend this business to anyone especially groups with children. Class and integrity is definitely something they lack. They aren't, however, lacking the ability to use offensive and distasteful obscenities. After all is said and done, I fully believe that this business does not care about anything but money.

Provided by YP.comMy husband and I took our honeymoon here. I don't think in the time he and spent the time there we were at a loss of things to do.
The people in the general store were so nice and the entire time (3) days that we were there the owner only came once to make sure all was good.
I would tell any one to come to this place.
Our cabin was sucluded and the hot tub made it all worth the wile.
We plan on taking our 3 childern there. The elk and the scenery made our 150 mile trip well worth it!
