OUTSTANDING!!!

I would recommend Dr. Walker to anyone. He has exceptional people skills and a bedside manner better than any doctor I have seen. My children have gone to him since birth and he and his staff are always there for advice, teaching and determining if my children need seen or not. Even though I am a nurse, he explains everything in great detail. Dr. Walker will always stay late, if needed, to see patients...even if it means missing a family outing, kids football game, etc... Dr. Walker is exceptionally smart and knowledgable in pediatrics. Even if all you need is reassurance, he and his staff are there. The NORC clinic is a very busy clinic so there may be a wait, but that is expected when you see the best! With that said, I have a few comments for the bad review person: First of all, the common cold IS an upper respiratory infection and it is not recommended to give decongestants to any child under the age of 2. It is also a virus, therefore antibiotics will not work. Some children can get 10 - 14 cold/upper resp. infections a year! Secondly, children can have allergies and most have runny noses because they can not blow them and parens won't use saline and suction as directed. FYI--the salt in the saline helps to dry up the mucous membranes. The more you use it, the better it works. And last, the NORC clinic does not dismiss patients just because--most of the time it is because of not showing up for appts and not calling or rude behavior. They never refuse to see patients, they make a judgement call based of symptoms of the child. If the child is sick and needs seen---they will see them, even if this means staying late and doubling appt. slots. On the other hand, if it is most likely viral, they will recommend staying at home, doing home remedies, and letting the virus run it's course versus bringing the child in to the clinic and expose him/her to other, more serious illnesses.

Excellent Doctor!

Dr. Walker has been our doctor for several years now—having taken care of our children and now our grandchildren. We could not have found a more kind and caring physician. We have always been impressed with his willingness to stay and see patients after normal office hours. Although he has several patients to see he always spends time with us answering any questions we might have.

He is a very competent doctor, keeping up with the latest diagnostic and treatment options available in his field. We feel very blessed to have such an excellent and dedicated physician available to our family. If we every have family emergencies with the children we want Dr. Walker by our side. It gives us peace of mind knowing we have the very best doctor caring for the ones we love so much.

Takes good care of my kids

Dr. Walker has gone above and beyond for my kids. My boys both have asthma and allergy issues and Dr. Walker has always helped me get them treated, quickly and efficiently. He has always been willing refer my children when they needed more specialized care. I'll keep taking my kids to him as long as he is willing to see them.

He takes care of my daughter. He has always been there for us. I call and they see her as needed. He always spends time with us and explains in detail the illness, the course of treatment, and what to watch for. I would definitely recommend him to my family and all my friends!!!

Wouldnt Recommend

I would not reccomend this doctor he was my doctor when i was a kid, and he was ok then i guess, but since i have had children he didnt take care of my daughters staff infection the way he should have and she ended up hospitalized for 2 days at ponca city, when my son was 2 months he was having congestion, he said it was a cold, put him on medication, it didnt go away....he said it was just a cold and he didnt want to see him again....but my husband called and told him he was going to see him so by this time he was almost 3 months, he saw him and changed it to allergies...we had him on it till he was 4 1/2 months (the claritin) and it wasnt helping any of his congestion...so we called again and said he was already a couple of weeks late on his shots, he said he didnt want to see him AGAIN....i couldnt believe it, and then said call in two weeks for his shots, when he was already late...we took him into the ER in fairfax oklahoma, and he had a upper respritory infection...it could of turned into pnemonia, and we had him on steroids, and decongestant, Hes doing alot better now...thank goodness, but no thanks to dr. walker...I will never take my children there again.
