I too did not want to give ANY stars, OMG…I totally wish I would have checked out the reviews of this drug dealing dump before dining there and wasting $96.00 on 3 people for the worst food and service all of us have ever experienced! I may decline the charges to my American Express yet.

The service was non-existent, had to seat ourselves after 12 minutes of waiting for someone to tell us to sit anywhere. Waited another 28 minutes to be acknowledged and have menus delivered by what would be considered a very questionable server, think high on crack or something?

We shrugged off the initial disappointment because of the water location and the live band was enjoyable. But, it only went downhill from there. Waited over an hour and half for our food, server never came to table, some other crack head delivered the overpriced $10.95 tasteless cold (should have been hot) blackened grouper sandwiches and mushy undercooked fries. What a rip off!

So, if you like paying $4 for tap beer in a 10oz half full flimsy disposable plastic cup, eating undercooked tasteless overpriced sandwiches served by crack heads, then this is the place for you!

I can eat on the water for a lot less and not be concerned of what’s in my food and if I’m going to get sick from it! Where’s the management? Probably smoking some crack out back! Too bad because the atmosphere and location will only carry it for so long. Health department needs to shut them down!

It was the most horrible experience anyone could have imagined! BEWARE STAY AWAY, for your health!

Disappointed. We were not allowed to use the inside restroom... so the 6 of us decided not to give them our business. Unfortunate for them. Poor hospitality.

Started at open time of 11:30 a.m. with a stroll on the dock taking in the beautiful bay, then enjoyed wonderful margaritas at the open air tiki bar... not too tart, not too sweet, just strong enough... followed by amazing fresh seafood, wonderful hush puppies, very tasty cole slaw, and excellent live music, both in the afternoon and evening. On our next trip to The Sunshine State the husband and I plan to try to find lodging close to Ponce De Leon to spend more time with these wonderful people at this wonderful location!

Went yesterday for dinner with my family. The food was good other than 2 of our fish dinners were over cooked and the hushpuppies were hard as rocks. Dessert was excellent. Drinks were great. It was cloudy last night but I've seen the sunset from there the previous day, that's how we found the place, and it is the best I've seen in the area. The bugs were out but they have good bug spray, just ask. What else... Great management, we went to the bar after dinner and I scratched my knee on a random rough spot, which they immediately fixed and comped all my drinks :) all in all I'd say 3.5 bit they won't let me so to combat the crazy crackhead comments I'll say 4. By the way, there staff was very respectable!!

We were at Down the Hatch yesterday afternoon, late, with family from Chicago. We had bragged up the restaurant to them because we have been there before and had good food. This time was a great disappointment to us. The vegetable soup was spicy (vegetable soup spicy???)

The clam chowder was tasteless. The potatoes were barely cooked. There were no onions to speak of. There were 5 little pieces of clams in the entire cup of soup.

The Shrimp & Scallops were very disappointing. They were also tasteless. Couldn't tell how they were cooked, although we assumed they were deep fried. Not the way to cook good food like that. Don't know who the cook was but either he (or she) didn't know what they were doing or just didn't care.

Hope you can clean up your act. I doubt we will drive all the way down to Ponce Inlet from Flager Beach to eat at your restaurant again.
