Really had a bad experience with this dentist and have mouth damage from bad dentures he made that he kept telling me that were fine. Was rude and insulting. Bottom denture kept breaking and cracking and hurt to wear every day. Dr. Day just kept saying there was nothing wrong with the denture. This went on for five years because my dental insurance only pays on new dentures every five years I put up with this for five years, going back paying for them to be rapaired over and over..I am paying for this still because I had sores and lesions from this which was confirmed recently by ENT doctor who is treating me for this and now they say I have Burning Mouth Syndrome which is not curable, and a lot of people who have dentures that are not right can end up with this. It is a type of nerve damage in the mouth. So now I have this additional problem. I went through so much from this continuous pain and I had to use denture adhesive to hold the top denture in. I had two implants for the bottom which I found out the abutments were too large which was the reason they were rocking,and kept breaking and cracking. Which I finally found out after going to a specialist (prothedontist)) who has been working on making me new dentures.and he is really doing a good job. I have to go out in public with no teeth because I can't wear the bad ones and I am waiting for new ones. It got so bad for several years I quit going out because of all of this, hardly went anywhere. because of these teeth. The physical and mental stress has been awful. I missed out on several important events because I didn't feel comfortable going to with these dentures. I found out that you need to go to someone who specializes in making dentures to get good ones. To make then right you need to go several times, they are to take measurements, and several molds not just a one time thing. It really is much more complicated and takes time to get them really right to fit your mouth correctly or you are going to have problems.
