Port Allegany High School offers various extracurricular and educational programs. The school offers an extensive curriculum that includes English, social study, mathematics, science, and health and physical education, fine arts, family and consumer science, technology and foreign language. Its sports activities include basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, football, volleyball, golf, cross country, soccer, track and field, baseball and softball. The school has various clubs and organizations, such as government, French, Spanish, computer, history and drama clubs, the National Honor Society, yearbook and student council.
