Peninsula Bottling Company, Inc. was created in 1955 when Arthur Snydal purchased Smith Beverages in Port Angeles, Washington. The franchise territory of Smith Beverages was transferred to Peninsula Bottling along with the purchase of the soft drink franchises. That franchise territory included all of Clallam and Jefferson Counties, the northern half of the Olympic Peninsula. On-site production included a complete bottling line with bottle-washer, filler, and capper. Pepsi-Cola and 7-Up were the predominant brands. Direct Store Delivery was and continues to be the delivery model for all brands carried, with no third-party delivery agents.
