Dr. Thompson is an optometrist/optometric physician and graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1978. He began his practice here in Port Angeles in 1979. Dr. Thompson is a member of the Contact Lens Association of Optometrists, American Optometric Association and the Washington Association of Optometric Physicians of which he is a Peninsula Society past President. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys skiing, hunting, backpacking and golf. He and his wife Maureen have four children and 7 grandchildren.ly practice; Low Vision; diagnosis and treatment of diseases, such as glaucoma and cataracts; contact lens services; computer eyestrain solutions; refractive surgery consultation; and vision services for the elderly.
